Strip Mill Plate is Hot Rolled Plate in thickness below one (1) inch. Our Strip Mill Plate is produced to ASTM-A-36.
Unlike the specification that our Hot Rolled Sheet is manufactured to, ASTM-A-36 is a structural specification.
The plate is produced to specific chemical and mechanical properties that offer a minimum yield of 36,000 pounds per square inch and a tensile strength range of 58,000 to 80,000 pounds per square inch. The material is formable and is readily welded by nearly all welding processes.
