What Is Cold Rolled Steel?

Cold rolled steel is produced by further processing hot rolled steel, resulting in a product with improved formability, dimensional stability, and surface quality. The steel is lightly oiled to prevent rust and maintain consistent quality in storage and fabrication. This steel is soft enough to be bent onto itself in either direction without surface cracking, enhancing its ease of use in forming and stamping applications.
